Step by Step! Hand in Hand!
“Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize.” 1 Corinthians 9:24 NIVB Experiencing God is living your life (race) step by step, hand in hand with Jesus! Just like a physical race, you feel every up hill, down hill, desert flats through scorching valleys! It’s talking through the burning feeling you feel with every breath you breathe in the scorching temperatures to the burning feeling in your legs and arms! It’s even when every limb in your body is so frozen that you struggle to keep them moving. It’s the feeling when you are passed up and all alone! It’s struggling when you are overlooked left behind in the dust! There will be times you feel so exhausted like your legs and arms are like jelly! My daughter once said, “my arms are like noodles!” In my spiritual race, I don’t want to miss out on experiencing what God can do through each moment good, hard, or bad and experience what He has for me while running my race home to Him. Each day I look forward to not only seeing but experiencing what God will do as He develop perseverance – strength that only God himself builds in us as He spiritually knits us all together in Unity in Him building us all up for His Glory! “You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised. For, “In just a little while, he who is coming will come and will not delay.”” Hebrews 10:36-37 NIV His ways are higher then my ways and so are His thoughts are higher then ours! I want to experience God with every step through all circumstances and trials while in relationship in the Body of Christ!
So let us all follow the Spirit of God by living our lives humbly under God’s mighty hands surrounded in His wonderful light! There is no better place to be! Let us all pray continually together in Unity by focusing on what we have in common while choosing to follow Jesus who is the Author and perfecter of our faith! All of us continually giving God glorious praise for His Kingdom come and His will be done on earth as it is in Heaven! Let us follow Jesus marvelous and wonderful ways by how we live our lives completely humble, and completely surrendered to God’s ways and not the ways of the world! This is so those who are of the world and don’t understand or know God’s love will be drawn into God’s unconditional love for them by how our actions in the body of Christ match what we do. This kind of love that God has for everyone surpasses all human understanding because the world doesn’t love in the same way. Especially when we all come from different places in life yet we have the love of the Father flowing in us and through us as we are led by the Spirit of God! I pray for all of us to have our Fathers heart! Let us slow down to hear His small still voice and be patient while putting up with each other! God promises to finish the good work in me and all of you until the day of Christ Jesus. Can you see it? The finish line the 12 gates with a pearl on each gate and streets made of gold so pure you can see through it. With Jesus arms open wide! Amen!

Thankful for the Blessings of Today!
We can see God’s glory shine everywhere around us as the storm slowly creeps in! Unexpected things in life are special little gifts wrapped in watching your children swim in a lake full of birds. With every breath I take, I smell the familiar days of spending the summer trolling on the lake with my family. I loved hearing my dad get super excited when a fish hit my pole. Everything we do with our children really matters as they experience life with you! When a fish hits my line, I had set the hook and reel it in steady and fast while not giving the fish any slack! It’s amazing how what seems so small like fishing is actually huge because practicing good habits when you’re young leads to good habits as an adult! My arms burned as my dad said, “keep going, don’t give up! It reminds me of 1 Thessalonians 5:11 (NIV) “Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.” It is an example of how we are supposed to be for each other as sisters and brothers in Christ when things in life get hard.
If you were still fishing, you could feel or see your pole hit when a fish struck your line! However trolling for Kokanee is different, the line always looked like you had a fish on. You would have to pay close attention to your pole because you might miss a nibble or a bit. We never knew for sure if a fish was on our line, until we brought the fish up to the boat and scooped it up with the net! Most of the time we couldn’t get the net ready in time and just flung the fish right in the boat at my dad. It was hard because we see or feel the the fish on the pole when it was on the hook. We fought the current of the water as we reeled in the fish! The boat could not stop or suddenly turn or all the lines would get tangled together! We had to stay on course by staying focused as the boat continued to move. The current is like how we are not fighting against flesh and blood. Ephesians 6:12 (NIV) “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
One unique fishing day, all of us experienced a hit on our line at the same time! However, it seemed like we were reeling and fighting to bring in this fish longer than usual. My dad said “stop” He decided he was going to reel in the fish first! When my dad pulled the fish out of the water, it looked torn up with its mouth ripped in many directions. His mouth was full of all of our hooks. It swallowed every one of them. This one fish had us fighting who would bring in our fish first. My dad recognized something different and instead of us fighting about who would bring it in first, we let go and our dad reeled him in. We knew we had to keep going but let go and listened even when we didn’t understand at the time. Normally we just kept reeling in our line at a steady speed hoping the fish is on the hook! But, the flashers never made it to the surface of the water. It reminds me how we need to be awake and alert, sober minded because the enemy prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour (1 Peter 5:8-9). Most of the time when the flashers finally reached the surface of the water, we would have to reel even faster to get the fish in the boat! Competition can blind us sometimes and it can be hard to let yourself lose, but you gain so much more when you let go. My dad brought in the fish that day but we all caught it together. Philippians 2:1-4 (NIV) “1Therefore if you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any common sharing in the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, 2then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and of one mind. 3Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, 4not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.“ If we never let go, and thought of ourselves, we would have never brought our fish in the boat.
This is such a valuable lesson for me looking back fishing with my family. I could not depend on what I saw when the flashers spun around shining in the sun. It looked like a fish on the line every time. If I slowed down just a little to rest, it would give the fish too much slack and it would jerk the line ripping the fish right off the hook! So, I kept going! We had to stay on courses by looking out for each other. 1 Corinthians 9:24-27 (NIV) “Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. 25 Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last, but we do it to get a crown that will last forever. 26Therefore I do not run like someone running aimlessly; I do not fight like a boxer beating the air. No, I strike a blow to my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize.” We are to keep running the race all the days of our life, focusing on Jesus for His glory no matter if we are fishing, walking, pulling weeds or just driving down the road. It will be hard and you will have trouble, you will get hurt by people you love. But, stay on course and remember it’s not a war against flesh and blood. Stay focused on Jesus by loving everyone by looking for the good in all people and in every situation. The hurt can feel like the burning in your arms as you reel in a fish that might be there! We can’t see the prize yet but we can see everything He is doing around us, in us and for us! 2 Timothy 4:7 “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” We can see in the Bible as we experience real people going through hard life threatening circumstances! They did not see how everything would work out. Just like for us, we don’t see how everything will work out but have faith knowing He has already worked it out for our good in His perfect timing! These physical training examples for me growing up helped me grow strong in perseverance even if I didn’t understand yet. I was in training at a young age by learning to listen to my father’s instruction even when I didn’t understand why he asked me to keep reeling steady and fast or suddenly stop! Most of the time He said, “keep going even if you don’t see the fish (fruit) of your labor right now” But we need to be alert and sober minded so we can hear when we are told to stop! It took me a while to understand because I was young but he kept repeating. Romans 12:12 “Rejoice in hope; be patient in affliction; be persistent in prayer.” We need to keep teaching in love and patience and live out what we are supposed to do for all people because even when we don’t see the results on the outside it doesn’t mean something wonderful is happening on the inside even more beautiful. 2 Corinthians 4:16-18 “Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.” My dad has no idea the kinds of lessons he taught us growing up! I would love to share with him! I’m so thankful for the blessings of being on that boat stuck in the lake for a day at a time! We spent so much time fishing for Kokanee on a big boat in a lake that seemed like an ocean. They were so delicious especially when my dad smoked them or my mom canned them! I miss those days with my family on the lake, and am so very thankful for the blessing today!
God shows Himself through people, places, and things that seem random! But, God has already set everything up for a purpose! It’s the unplanned events that seem to be the most enjoyable! I think it’s because there is no time for overthinking just allowing God to pour his love and goodness on us! While we enjoy the blessings of today! Galatians 3:26-29, “So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith, for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. 29 If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.

God Has Everything!
Everyone was having fun and amazing things happening all around us when a beautiful little rainbow appeared in the clouds. It stopped me in my tracks and I thought “WoW” everyone needs to see this awesome 🌈 that appeared in thin air! I told everyone who walked by! To my surprise, it grew stretching out over the river. It was breathtaking! When we least expect something Awesome to happen, It does! It reminds me how we need to be awake and sober minded! We need to keep our lamp full and encourage and support everyone around us.
We can trust God completely because he loves us so deeply! His power holds everything and everyone together! Genesis 1 “Let there be light” And there was light! God parted the Red Sea, Exodus 14:21 and so many more! God took down the wall of Jericho without a single hit! Joshua 6:20. He raised Lazarus from the dead after he had been buried for 4 days! The same power that raised Jesus from the dead lives in us, whoever believes in Jesus and accepts his free gift is a child of God! We can trust God completely because he loves us so deeply!In Isaiah 40:12, (NIV) “Who has measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, or with the breadth of his hand marked off the heavens?Who has held the dust of the earth in a basket, or weighed the mountains on the scales and the hills in a balance? Proverbs 30:4, (NIV)”Who has gone up to heaven and come down? Whose hands have gathered up the wind?Who has wrapped up the waters in a cloak?Who has established all the ends of the earth?What is his name, and what is the name of his son?Surely you know!
Isaiah 40:22, “He sits enthroned above the circle of the earth, and its people are like grasshoppers. He stretches out the heavens like a canopy, and spreads them out like a tent to live in.” Isaiah explained in words about God’s awesome power! It is beyond our human understanding! We think we are in control but really God has everything under control! God is the same yesterday today and forever! Malachi 3:6 “For I the Lord do not change; therefore you, O children of Jacob, are not consumed.” In Hebrews 13:8, (NIV) “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” We can have confidence when things like the world shuts down and who knew schools would ever close down too! Yet, God opens the door for so many wonderful opportunities that only he could make possible! We can hear Him in the quiet but very loud everywhere in creation and through our sisters and brothers in Christ! He is in control and moving in a mighty way. Isaiah 40:28-29, (NIV) “Do you not know? Have you not heard?The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.” I’m so thankful for everything God does for me and my family and the strength he gives me, because I cannot do anything without Him! It is only His strength in me that I can go and do what he has me do!
We can fully depend on God for our strength because He gives us everything we need to accomplish what plans he has for us! The world might not understand how it’s possible but through God everything is possible! Stand firm on Jesus and trust him even when it’s hard and confusing! As the pressures in life sneak in, keep going because through pressure, we grow as he pour into us! I’m not sure if I will see a harvest from my garden we planted, but I will keep planting and watering because I’m confident that God has only good in store for everyone including me and my family. He loves and cares for all of us deeply! I love praying scripture, Ephesians 1:17-21, (NIV) “17 I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. 18 I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, 19 and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is the same as the mighty strength 20 he exerted when he raised Christ from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, 21 far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is invoked, not only in the present age but also in the one to come.” How high and how deep will we go in Jesus name to be the hands and feet we are called to be for His glory! It’s not easy to step out into the unknown but when you know God has already worked it out, peace comes in like a flood. As we live out what we believe, supporting and encouraging each other to keep going, we are living out the gospel by reaching all people. When leader come together working together as one body, our young generation will do the same! They will be drawn in by our Unity in Jesus! They are our future generation! When we all work together like Jesus taught, doors will be opened when the world tries to shut them! We are loving everyone the way Jesus loves. When we listen to the broken hearts who need to be loved! I’m so thankful! 😊 💗

Stepping Out
Stepping out by taking action to your faith in what God has for you, will change your life! 1 Peter 2:21, “For to this you have been called, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, so that you might follow in his steps.” When you choose to follow in Jesus’ foot steps by allowing God’s word to flood into your life, it will expose lies from the world and reveal truth from the Spirit that you couldn’t see on your own! Instead of depending on what the world has for you, which is seen and temporary, you will lean/hold onto/depend on by focusing on what is eternal “unseen” instead of what is temporary! 2 Corinthians 4:17-18, “For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.”
1 Peter 2:9-10,”But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.” We need to not only live this out in our own life but how we see and react to each other! We need to view people through God’s eyes! He loves All people and gave His life once and for All because He wants no one to perish! So, how we love God, is how we love each other! We need to see through only how God views love and not the ways of the world! Not on our own human standards or when it’s convenient to your lifestyle or expectations! But at all times! This is hard because most people truly desire to love everyone! It is a battle and this is why we need Jesus! I know most people know 1 Corinthians 13 about what Love is! However, when you really break down each part, and meditate on it! love is patient? Love is kind? It does not envy? it does not boast? it is not proud? It does not dishonor others? it is not self-seeking? it is not easily angered? it keeps no record of wrongs? Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth? Does it always protects? always trusts? always hopes? always perseveres? Love never fails and without love you are nothing Because it’s not that you love God but that he loved you first! 1 John:4:10,”This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.” So, if you break down love! I think about what Romans 12:2 says, “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.” Also, what 1 Timothy 4:12, “Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.” We need to follow Jesus’ footsteps, so we can live without conforming or joining in the patterns of this world! This world has so many things pulling us to the left and to the right and then your minds are full! Proverbs 4:25-27, “Let your eyes look straight ahead; fix your gaze directly before you. Give careful thought to the paths for your feet and be steadfast in all your ways. Do not turn to the right or the left; keep your foot from evil.” It really does matter what we listen to, yes the beat is awesome, but the words are far from God or against him! Also, be on guard to what you watch on your phone, YouTube, movies ect.! God says to guard your heart above all else because everything flows from it! We need every word God breathes to literally filter everything we see or hear, to lead us to know exactly what is good! It’s a battle that we can’t win on our own! Philippians 4:8,”Finally brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.” So, our influences affect our thoughts, attitudes, moods, and reactions to each other! We need to be on guard because the mind and heart go hand in hand! It’s literally not when you feel like it, we need to love at All times! If we love God, we will love other people (All) as we love ourselves! We need to love ourselves by taking care of ourselves by what we allow in our lives!
Romans 15:5,”May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude of mind toward each other that Christ Jesus had.” God exposed lies with his radiant light! The Holy Spirit lives in you and will lead you in Truth! The twisted weeds that once tangled up inside you were rooted deep and took you to the ground! These held you down by embedded rock, strongholds. These strongholds made you feel weighted and held down like there was no hope! You pull each weed one by one all on your own, and everything just gets worse! Until the day you chose to believe in Jesus and accept his free gift for you that he paid for with his precious blood! You took action by taking a step out in faith because you believe in Jesus who died and rose again, trusting God who sent His one and only son because He loves you, who is not seen but everywhere all at once! You saturate your heart and mind with every word of God, your heart soaks in every living word, as it filters out the poison that once filled your veins! As the ground of your heart softens to receive this free gift that you could never earn on your own! Soon you will grow good seed that will sprout up and take root in your heart! The rooted weeds that fed you poison had lost its grip on you! The lie that was fed to you that God only helps those who help themselves have been exposed! You are are now rooted in God, His child! Colossians 2:6-7, “So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.”
People who fed you lies saw love through what Jesus is doing inside you, as they reach up for the light too! The fear of failure that once snuck into your mind has been replaced with confidence from God! Failure is only when you give up!

As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.
1 Corinthians 13:4-9
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered,it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
Love never fails. But where there are prophecies,they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.
